Job summary

Country Inn & Suites of Mankato is seeking customer-focused individuals who enjoy providing excellent guest service. The Banquet Setup Associate’s primary responsibility is to uphold high standards by delivering quality service to guests and keeping banquet spaces clean and organized.

Role requires setting up per BEO specs and resetting after events, with flexibility across shifts. The position offers part-time hours, pay of $13.00 per hour, background checks, and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Must provide professional and courteous guest service.
• Strong time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude during all interactions.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs.
• Banquet or event experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform duties cost-effectively within budget guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet rooms, hallways, and storage and service areas.
• Inventory and care for banquet supplies (linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware, decorations).
• Set up the banquet rooms per the specification of the BEOs, and then reset the rooms to the original state after the event has concluded.
• Assist during events, including transporting tables and equipment, reporting maintenance issues to management and assisting guests as necessary.
• May be required to assist with the setup of audio-visual equipment or assisting with the transport of food, decorations, and equipment to an off-premises event location.
• Thoroughly communicates with management and banquet associates through daily communication and attends required meetings.
• Understands and applies all facility safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and guests.
• Keeps supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
