Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking a proactive Banquet Houseperson to craft flawless event experiences. You will set rooms, arrange furniture, and maintain pristine banquet areas for weddings, meetings, and corporate events.

Work closely with banquet leaders and teams to execute layouts, manage last-minute changes, and ensure readiness. A strong eye for detail and physical stamina are essential for success in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• One year experience in mid-high-volume banquet and/or upscale hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend and lift 100+ pounds repetitively.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute room setups and breakdowns based on BEOs (tables, chairs, staging, décor).
• Ensure furniture and equipment are placed safely for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
• Perform regular inspections of event spaces before, during and after functions.
• Assist with light maintenance of banquet equipment and report issues.
• Respond to guest and team requests during events, including last-minute changes.
• Monitor and restock banquet supplies and communicate needs to leadership.
• Collaborate with banquet captains, servers and other departments to ensure seamless execution.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a guest-ready environment at all times.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meet scheduling needs as required.
