Job summary

Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront is seeking team members for the Banquets department. The role involves setting up and breaking down meeting spaces, weddings on the Beach, and maintaining clean, presentable ballrooms and meeting rooms.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition; professional appearance.
• Ability to lift and move tables, chairs, and podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to carry or push goods on a hand cart up to 500 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.
• Set up all meeting rooms per guest specifications including transporting staging, tables, chairs, and related items.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down all meeting rooms and return to storage after events.
• Set up and tear down weddings on the Beach.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available routinely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
