Job summary

Pittsburgh Marriott City Center, operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Banquet Setup/Attendant to assist the Banquet Manager and ensure a positive guest experience. This role involves room setup, equipment transport, replenishment of supplies, and breakdown after events in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 100 lbs, move heavy items, and stand for long periods. Excellent communication with guests and team members is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various types of equipment and set up styles used in meeting rooms.
• Ability to lift and move tables and chairs up to 100 lbs with/without assistance.
• Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or push loads up to 500 lbs with/without assistance.
• Standing for long periods and able to perform physical tasks throughout shift.
• Effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Manager in preparing for banquet guests and ensure positive guest experience.
• Set up meeting rooms per guest specifications, including transporting equipment.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down rooms after events and return equipment to storage.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for rooms and ballrooms.
• Be punctual and available to work regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
