Job summary

Four Winds Casino New Buffalo is seeking a Banquet Houseman to support serving, setup, and cleanup of banquet functions in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities include setting rooms per BEO, handling guest requests, maintaining storerooms, coordinating with Sales and Banquet Supervisor, and ensuring equipment safety and cleanliness; a Level 4 Gaming License is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set rooms, buffets, and tables according to BEO specifications and Supervisor instructions.
• Handle all guest requests; as necessary, request the assistance of the Banquet Supervisor.
• Ensure that all storerooms are clean, organized and secured.
• Organize Banquet Rooms to ensure a productive, safe and energy conserving work environment.
• Ensure that all unused rooms are set to department’s standards.
• Constantly communicate all concerns to Banquet Supervisor.
• Assist in equipment inventory as scheduled.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and report needs.
