Job summary

The Banquet Houseperson at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District is responsible for the set up, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting spaces, ensuring correct and timely execution of all Banquet Event Order functions.

Role requires flexibility with long hours, ability to lift heavy objects, stand throughout shifts, and maintain a warm, guest‑centered demeanor while upholding Highgate Hotel standards of cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Flexible with hours and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and refresh banquet spaces according to function orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in banquet areas.
• Manage banquet storeroom and supplies.
• Breakdown and store equipment after events.
• Transport and store tables, chairs, and other equipment.
• Refresh meeting rooms as needed.
• Report hazards to management.
• Assist with Lost and Found items per standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout events.
