Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, CT is seeking a Banquet House Attendant to set up, break down, and service meeting rooms in line with guest service and sustainability standards.

The role involves transporting heavy materials, maintaining clean meeting spaces, and responding to guest requests while upholding safety guidelines. Scheduling may include weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet set up or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up meeting rooms according to banquet event orders and documents to meet guest expectations.
• Transport heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, and dance floors safely using proper equipment.
• Break down meeting rooms and return items to storage neatly.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms to keep rooms presentable.
• Respond to guest requests for service changes in room setup and assist with information requests.
• Handle guest complaints personally or seek supervisor assistance when needed.
• Follow safety procedures, wear protective equipment and adhere to MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
