Job summary

Hilton Dallas Park Cities is seeking an experienced Banquet Set Up/Houseperson to ensure banquet spaces are pristine, properly arranged, and ready for events. You will set up tables, chairs, buffets, and audio/visual gear, and then tear down and store equipment after events.

You will move heavy furniture, maintain cleanliness during events, and assist with inventory while prioritizing safety and guest satisfaction. This role requires strong English communication and hospitality etiquette.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Some wine knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to read, speak and write English.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Knowledge of proper setup and safety procedures for event spaces.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet function rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, buffets, stages, dance floors, and audio/visual equipment.
• Move, lift, carry, push, and pull furniture and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ensure all meeting and event spaces are clean, presentable, and properly arranged prior to guest arrival.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet spaces during events by removing trash, replenishing supplies, and responding to requests from event staff or guests.
• Store and secure all equipment after use, following proper storage procedures.
• Respond promptly to guest and staff requests for additional set-up or equipment needs.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist with inventory and organization of banquet supplies and equipment.
