Job description

South Sioux City Marriott Riverfront is seeking a full-time Banquet Set Up individual to greet guests and assist with banquet room events.

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and break down all function room spaces according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) details.
  2. Assist captains and servers with serving food or beverages and stocking buffet lines as requested.
  3. Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and kitchen areas.
  5. Display a professional and friendly attitude towards guests, colleagues, and management.

Qualifications:

  1. Flexible availability according to scheduled events.
  2. Previous banquet setup experience preferred.
  3. Ability to read basic English to understand BEOs and communicate effectively.
  4. Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, crouch/stoop, twist, and reach for extended periods.
  5. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
  6. Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
