Delaware North Parks and Resorts at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced banquet setting. You will help guests with food and beverages, ensure a positive experience, and maintain a courteous, efficient approach.

This tipped position pays $12.00 per hour with benefits for full-time staff; expect evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Minimum of 3 months' previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• No high school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Sets up tables for events per the banquet event order
• Transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
• Take and fill drink orders, provide refills, answer questions, and clear dirty dishes
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and verify identification per policies
• Monitor guest needs and address requests promptly
• Replenish buffet lines (if applicable)
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and teammates
• Break down events per company procedures

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring part-time Banquet Servers to join our team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. As a Banquet Server you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring The Lodge at Geneva guests' needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner.The ideal Banquet Server candidate will be friendly, positive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

Pay

$12.00 - $12.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order
• Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
• Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints
• Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members
• Breaks down event according to company procedures

More about you

• Must be 18 or older
• Minimum of 3 months' previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for entire length of shift
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Mobility to maneuver between tables
