We are looking for a Banquet Server/Set up who will serve and set up hotel and event function areas as directed and provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests. Someone who can perform physical assistance including lifting and moving heavy objects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve and set up all hotel function areas and other designated functions as directed.
- Set up, arrange, and take down furniture according to predetermined diagrams established by Banquet Manager/Banquet Captain/Conference Services staff.
- Refresh meeting rooms during breaks and/or for the next scheduled event.
- Perform housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning of glass and porcelain, etc., throughout the hotel.
- Properly maintain all equipment used and stored in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Prepare station for service prior to guest arrival, including the supplying of side stands, setting and inspecting all tables for cleanliness and correctness of settings.
- Serve food and beverage items according to prescribed procedures.
- Accountable for Alcohol Beverage Service.
- Monitor diners’ satisfaction frequently and anticipate needs without requiring direction.
- Communicate continually with Servers and Supervisor/Manager on duty to deliver food in a timely fashion and execute a smooth flowing dining experience for guests.
- Clear courses according to correct procedures and remove items from tray stands to Kitchen where items are properly deposited.
- Record guest counts accurately from your sections and communicate to the Banquet Captain / Banquet Manager.
- Accurately summarize meals served for reporting purposes per established procedure.
- Reset tables as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas including tray stands, counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storeroom.
- Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing.
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Attend all employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by management.
- In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year service experience in a comparable position desired.
- Previous food service/setup experience in a hotel, resort, or fine dining restaurant desired.
- Ability to use hotel point-of-sale computer systems desired.
