Hilton Houston North is a recently renovated property located in the Houston City North Area, with 480 rooms and 36 meeting spaces (52,000 sq ft) to amaze our guests. We are looking for top candidates like you to bring our property alive by delivering exceptional service.

Overview:

Responsible for assisting with the setup and breakdown of the event space and serving food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner according to the hotel’s high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Gather supplies and set up banquet room as described in the Banquet Event Order and as instructed by Banquet Captain, including linen, service ware, and glassware.
2. Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
3. Serve food and/or beverages according to the Banquet Captain’s instructions to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
4. Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and at the end of the meal or function.
5. Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
6. After the banquet, clear and reset banquet rooms as per supervisor’s specifications to prepare for the next event.
7. Perform all assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking banquet supplies.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to understand and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product and process application within the hotel.
