Job summary

Black Rock Mountain Resort, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality in Heber City, Utah, is seeking a Banquet Server. You will set up banquet spaces, serve guests, and collaborate with the culinary and events teams to create memorable experiences.

What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

At Black Rock Mountain Resort, our events are as stunning as the mountain backdrop they are set against. From intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations, our Banquet team plays a vital role in bringing those moments to life. We are looking for an energetic and polished Banquet Server to join our team and help deliver flawless, memorable experiences for every guest and every event.

Essential Functions

• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to event orders and resort standards, including linen placement, table settings, centerpieces, and buffet arrangements.
• Provide professional, attentive, and friendly service to all banquet guests throughout the event.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and accurate manner, following proper service etiquette and sequence.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu for each event, including ingredients and preparation methods, to confidently answer guest questions.
• Monitor guest needs throughout the event and respond proactively to requests and concerns.
• Replenish food and beverage stations, bread, water, and other items as needed throughout service.
• Adhere to all UDABC policies and Utah liquor laws, including responsible alcohol service and 100% ID check compliance.
• Break down and clean banquet spaces at the conclusion of each event, returning equipment and linens to their proper locations.
• Communicate effectively with the Banquet Captain, Event Manager, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless event execution.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and elevate to the Banquet Captain or director as needed.
• Assist with inventory of banquet supplies and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain or Food and Beverage Director.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a full event shift.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, equipment, and supplies up to 30 to 40 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly throughout event spaces.
• Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor event settings and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to set up and break down tables, chairs, and event equipment as needed.
