Job summary

Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah seeks a Banquet Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences at upscale events, including LPGA/PGA occasions.

You will set up, serve, and break down banquets, maintain guest service with professionalism, and work with leadership to ensure cleanliness and timely service. On-call shifts with a minimum of eight hours monthly; pay is $8/hour plus a share of service charges.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet service or fine dining experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and guest service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and long event weeks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, serve, and break down banquet events according to resort standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service with professionalism and poise.
• Carry trays, pour beverages, and serve plated or buffet meals.
• Keep food and beverage areas stocked, clean and organized during service.
• Collaborate with banquet staff, bartenders, and culinary team.
• Follow food handling and sanitation guidelines and assist with cleaning.
• Relay guest requests promptly to banquet leadership.
• Attend mandatory orientations and trainings.

Job Specifications

Onsite: Black Desert Resort
Shift & Schedule Availability: On - Call / Must be availble for LPGA/PGA and other large events. Need to average a minimum 8 hours per month
Pay Rate: $8/hour plus a portion of service charges. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilites Including But Not Limited To:

• Work collaboratively with other banquet servers, bartenders, and culinary staff
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation guidelines
• Communicate guest needs or special requests promptly to banquet leadership
• Attend mandatory orientations and trainings
• Perform other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Prior experience in banquet service, catering, or fine dining preferred but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and carrying trays or lifting up to 30 lbs
• Flexible schedule with availability for early mornings, evenings, and long shifts during event week
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and professional appearance required
