Job summary

South Seas, a premier resort on Captiva Island, is part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio. We are seeking an On Call Banquet Server to support events and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic, guest-facing environment.

Set up, serve, and tear down banquets while maintaining grooming standards and coordinating with catering teams. Pay starts at $12.00/hour plus service charges, with opportunities across 230+ properties worldwide.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a Server in a hotel/restaurant environment is a plus.
• Ability to communicate to guests in English; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a guest experience that exemplifies South Seas standards of excellence.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Be on time for events and be prepared to work until the end of the event.
• Comply with the Company’s grooming standards, ensuring your uniform is clean and pressed, and your name tag is in place.
• Be up to date on all required certifications including Alcohol Awareness and Serve Safe.
• Complete prep assignments prior to the event as directed by the Director of Catering or Banquet Captain.
• Maintain composure throughout the event, and work through stressful situations.
• Must be familiar with the organization of the hotel, and where to direct guests.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Banquet Captain.

Objective

The On Call Banquet Server is responsible for set‑up, serving and tear down of banquet events.

Rate of Pay: $12.00 per hour plus service charges

What are we looking for?

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Working Conditions

• Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift to forty pounds.
• Work in both an indoor/outdoor environment, with the potential for hot temperatures.
• Ability to work at a computer in an office setting and respond to client inquiries promptly.
• Must be able to oversee stress related conversations with clients, vendors, and other departments.
