Banquet Server - Musical Instrument Museum

Job Summary

The Server is responsible for: event setup and strike, bussing, passing hors d'oeuvres, serving cocktails, and taking food and drink orders from guests in their assigned section. The role requires delivering service in a fast, courteous, and efficient manner, ensuring accurate billing and maintaining the company's standards of excellence.

Compensation

$16.00 USD per hour

Essential Functions

• Greet guests politely; verify age for alcohol service.
• Answer menu questions, take and submit food orders.
• Serve entrees and maintain a pleasant dining experience.
• Check on guests, deliver checks, and handle transactions accurately.
• Perform post-meal cleanup and setup for subsequent service.
• Keep tables clean and properly set, stock service areas, and report gratuities and safety concerns.

Skills and Knowledge

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills and problem recognition ability.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Frequent movement, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, climbing stairs, and temperature tolerance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Equipment Used

• Touch-screen POS systems, restaurant equipment, and supplies.
