Job summary

Sage Restaurant Group is seeking an on-call Banquet Server at The Alexandrian in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down banquet events, greeting guests, and delivering food and beverages according to guidelines.

You will read BEOs, manage station cleanliness, and perform sidework while staying attentive to guests throughout the dining experience. Flexible shifts are required, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3+ months experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of customer service principles and food service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read BEO and complete setup accurately.
• Set tables correctly and maintain a neat station during service.
• Greet guests and serve according to policies for food and beverages.
• Handle guest checks and money-handling procedures for alacarte and beverages.
• Complete assigned sidework and stay attentive throughout the dining experience.
• Work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Support lead banquet server in setup/breakdown of buffet and equipment.
• Local travel for outside catering functions.
