Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is hiring a Server to take food and beverage orders and serve guests in a dining room with speed, courtesy and accuracy. You will ensure correct billing and uphold the company's service standards.

Key duties include greeting guests, describing menu items, submitting orders, delivering meals, checking on tables, handling payments, and maintaining a clean, stocked area. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred; strong sanitation and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits.
• Mathematic skills.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a polite, positive manner; takes beverage orders.
• Check patrons’ identification to ensure minimum age for alcohol.
• Answer questions about the menu and take food orders.
• Explain how menu items are prepared, ingredients, and cooking methods.
• Submit food orders into kitchen.
• Serve guests their entrees in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Maintain pleasant dining experience; check on guests during meals.
• Deliver check and complete transactions with accurate change when needed.
• Perform clean-up duties after each meal; set up for next service.
