Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking a Server to take food and drink orders from guests in the dining room, serving meals in a fast, courteous and efficient manner while ensuring accurate billing in line with the company’s standards.

The Server will greet guests, verify ages for alcoholic beverages, explain menu items, and coordinate with the kitchen to submit orders and deliver meals. Maintain a clean, welcoming dining area and assist guests throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits.
• Mathematics skills.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage orders.
• Check IDs to ensure minimum age for alcohol.
• Answer questions about the menu and take food orders.
• Explain menu items, ingredients and cooking methods.
• Submit food orders to the kitchen and serve meals.
• Maintain a pleasant dining experience and attend to guests' needs.
• Deliver checks and handle transactions with accurate change.
• Perform cleaning and setup for the next service.
