Job summary

Pinehurst is seeking a Banquet Server to assist Members and Guests by setting up banquet rooms, serving meals and beverages, and ensuring a high standard of guest service throughout events.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 months of related experience, with flexibility to work at various Food & Beverage outlets and holidays as needed, in Pinehurst, NC.

SUMMARY:

This position primary responsibility is to serve meals to our Members/Guests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and a minimum of 3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Banquet Manager/Captain to include linen, service ware and glassware.
• Attend meetings before events to learn event particulars, including guest and property expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Banquet Manager/Captain to ensure consistency in the order throughout the banquet.

• Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Check out with supervisor.
• Knowledgeable of menu items, preparation and prices.
• Perform assigned side work.
• Responds to and informs supervisor of any Guest questions, complaints and suggestionsor maintenance issues.
• Attend Resort training classes as required.
• Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled.
• In this position you will be expected to be available to work in various locations of Food and Beverage outlets depending on business levels. In addition, you will be expected to work holidays wherever needed even if your primary outlet is closed.
