Job summary

Black Bear Talent is seeking a professional Banquet Server to deliver high-quality service at a range of events, from elegant banquets to lively catering. You will review event orders, assist with set-up and breakdowns, serve food and beverages, uphold etiquette, and coordinate with the kitchen.

Must be 21+ to serve and bartend; strong communication and poise under pressure required. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance and uniform requirements.
• Ability to carry trays and maneuver up to 50lbs.
• Prior experience with large banquet or catering events.

Responsibilities

• Review Banquet Event Orders for menu details, room/event set-up diagrams; plus food, beverage and audio-visual needs.
• Event set-ups & breakdowns: buffets, tables, chairs, plate sets, bar, AV equipment, garbage, clean-up, etc.
• Ensuring quality presentation & serving of food.
• Prepare and serve beverages.
• Efficiently and properly uphold service & etiquette standards.
• Adhere to all liquor liability laws (ID checking, training, etc.).
• Maintain communication with the kitchen for updates.
