Job summary

Raines Co. is seeking a Banquet Server to set up and serve food and beverages at banquet functions according to hotel standards. The role supports guest satisfaction by greeting guests, reading banquet event orders, and coordinating with bartenders as needed.

Applicants should have prior server or busser experience, familiarity with banquet setups, and required certifications (ServSafe, TIPS). We offer medical/dental/vision, 401K, PTO, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous and attentive manner.
• Read and interpret banquet event orders for setup and service.
• Set up banquet spaces and maintain a clean work area.
• Serve guests in accordance with the hotel’s standards and assist bartenders as needed.
• Clean up after events and store banquet items properly.
• Follow health and safety regulations and pre-employment background checks.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous and attentive manner
• Listens and responds to guest’s needs
• Know how to read a banquet event order
• Must be familiar with the menu and assigned function
• Set up banquet space in accordance with banquet event order
• Maintain clean working area
• Serve guests according to hotel’s standards
• Clean up banquet space after the completion of event or function
• Ensure all banquet items are stored and put away properly and clean
• Returns to the table throughout the guest’s visit to ask if they are satisfied, check for refills, clear items as needed from the table
• Assist bartenders or other servers as needed
• Performs side duties such as cleaning, rolling silverware, setting tables, sweeping, etc
• Complies with all health and safety regulations

Experience and Education:

Previous experience as server, busser, runner, host(ess)

Understanding of banquet terminology and/or setup

Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agencies

ServSafe, TIPS Certification

Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
