Raines Co. in Columbia, SC is seeking a Banquet Bartender to deliver high-quality service for our hotel banquet events, fulfilling guests' beverage needs and processing payments.

The role requires working flexible hours including weekends/holidays, passing TIPS and food handler training, and supervising banquet staff under the Banquet Manager.

  • Ensure banquet areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Attend required meetings and manage banquet staff performance.

Position Summary: The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Service guests by fulfilling their food and beverage needs and collecting payment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply at all times with service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Employees must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the hotel’s banquet operation
  • Supervise all banquet personnel.
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
  • Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure preparation of required reports, including (but not limited to) Wage Progress, payroll, revenue, employee Schedules, quarterly action plans.
  • Monitor quality of service in banquet operations.
  • Oversee banquet setup assignments.
  • Ensure inspection of all banquet areas for cleanliness and maintenance on a regular basis.
  • Conduct and/or attend all required meetings, includingpre-convention and post-convention meetings.
  • Supervise the work of banquet staff , and observe the performance of hourly service personnel.
  • Assist the Banquet Manager on special promotions or changes.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Director Food & Beverage and Banquet Manager

Education

High school education/GED.

Experience

Min of 1 years management experience

Hours required

Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
