Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton South Bend is seeking energetic Banquet Servers to join our Food & Beverage team for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large weddings.

As a part-time/on-call team member, you will set up banquet spaces, serve plated meals and buffets, reset rooms, and support culinary staff to ensure flawless guest experiences. Flexible scheduling around events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential to success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Loves working with people and provides great service.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic food & beverage service knowledge preferred, banquet or serving experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet and meeting rooms with linens, glassware, silverware, and service items.
• Attend pre-event meetings to review event details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests with a friendly, welcoming, and professional attitude.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, beverages, and other food items.
• Refill beverages and anticipate guest needs throughout events.
• Clear tables and remove dishes between courses.
• Maintain clean, organized, and polished event spaces.
• Reset banquet rooms for upcoming events.
• Complete assigned side work and restock banquet supplies.
• Assist with general cleaning before, during, and after events.
• Follow all food safety and alcohol service requirements.
• Work closely with Banquet Captains, culinary staff, and fellow servers to keep events running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Banquet Server, you'll help bring our events to life from setup to the final cleanup. Responsibilities include:

• Serve plated meals, buffets, beverages, and other food items

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Loves working with people and providing great service
• Is dependable, professional, and team-oriented
• Can thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Has basic food & beverage service knowledge — banquet or serving experience is a plus!
• Can learn table settings, service standards, and menu information
• Can safely lift and transport up to 30 pounds
• Is comfortable being on their feet and moving throughout the shift
• Can follow instructions and pay attention to the little details
• Understands that hospitality schedules vary based on business and event needs
• Has availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
