Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts, at The Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah, GA, seeks a Banquet Server to assist with banquet events and ensure outstanding guest experiences. You will set up rooms, greet guests, serve food and beverages, and maintain service standards throughout functions.

Responsibilities include attending pre-event roll calls, coordinating with supervisors, refreshing stations, handling alcohol service per regulations, and resetting spaces for subsequent events.

Qualifications

  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Must be a team player and help coworkers.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and serviceware.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Overview

Assist Banquet Manager in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.
