Job summary

Provo Marriott Hotel and Conference Center is seeking a Banquet Server to provide timely service at catered events, delivering food and beverages and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience.

You will greet guests, deliver orders, clear tables, and assist with training new hires to uphold service standards. Must be at least sixteen years old, with a willingness to complete the restaurant's training course and lift up to 25 pounds. This is an on-site role at our Provo, UT location.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen years old (21 years old to serve alcohol).
• Previous server experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete restaurant’s training course.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen years old (at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages).
• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Must successfully complete restaurant’s training course.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
