Job summary

The River Club of Jacksonville is seeking friendly, guest-focused servers to join our banquet and dining team. You will greet members, guide them through their dining experience, and maintain pristine table settings. Attend pre-shift meetings to learn specials, and assist with inventory and cleaning duties to ensure top-tier service.

Varied shifts including weekends and holidays; competitive benefits including 401K and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life coverage.

Responsibilities

• Make sure all side work is complete, before opening.
• Set up tables: glass and silver are clean and lined up properly; salt and pepper shakers are clean and filled; chairs, including legs and table bases are clean; flowers look good; ashtrays are on table and clean; sugar holders are full and clean; and table cloth is crisp and hanging properly.
• Attend pre-shift meeting to learn daily specials, and miscellaneous information.
• Greet members and their guests IMMEDIATELY and with a SMILE.
• Guide members and their guests through the course of their dining experience, communicating frequently with them.
• Communicate with the Banquet Captain or the Banquet Operations Manager as to when to close.
• Clean station and side work as required.
• Check out with the Banquet Captain or the Banquet Operations Manager before leaving.
• Perform other jobs that will assist in quality member service as assigned by the Banquet Captain or the Banquet Operations Manager.
• Take monthly inventory of china, glass and silver when assigned.
• Perform in-house cleaning assignments to maintain work areas in top operating levels
