Job summary

Troon's Wallkill Golf Club in Middletown, NY, is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to deliver welcoming guest service at our busy venue.

You will set rooms, serve food and beverages, and coordinate with catering staff; minimum qualification includes a GED and 1–3 months banquet experience; must be 18+ to serve alcohol.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol

Responsibilities

• Prepares function site and ensures meeting room is set according to specifications
• Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as directed by Banquet Event Order
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager
• Helps maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment
• Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area
• Ensures guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as required

Description

Wallkill Golf Club in Middletown, NY is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Banquet Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares function site andassures meeting room is set according to specifications.
• Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
• Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
• Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
• Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of banquet setting and service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.

Other Qualifications:

Demonstrates good energy and motivation.

Knowledge of banquet set up.

Regular and reliable attendance.
