Job summary

American Golf Corporation in the United States is seeking a Banquet Server to greet, assist, and serve guests at special functions. A successful candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

You will set up banquet rooms, attend roll calls, serve beverages and courses in order, remove used ware, and ensure guests are satisfied while complying with laws related to serving alcohol.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, applicable state card or certificate must be provided if required by state law
• Effective communication skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Managers in welcoming, serving, and providing a positive experience to members and guests during banquet functions
• Setup banquet room as requested by the supervisor to include glassware, service ware, and linen
• Attend roll call meetings prior to banquet kick off to learn responsibilities and expectations
• Serve beverages and menu courses in appropriate order
• Remove plates, service ware, and glassware as guests and members finish their courses
• Abide by all corporate act, laws and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
• Replenish beverages when necessary and check with guests and members to ensure they are satisfied
• Perform other related functions that may be assigned.

Working Conditions

• Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs
• Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, to walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands, use fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, taste, push or pull. The employee may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
