Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a banquet server for the Sheraton Erie to manage setup, service, and teardown of banquet events. Weekend availability is required, and you will support Event Managers in executing banquet functions to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will uphold professional standards, knowledge of menu items, and a positive, can-do attitude while delivering exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and social personality.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Knowledge of various food-service styles.
• Banquet or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods and lift more than 10 pounds.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful set-up, service, clean-up, and tear-down of banquet events.
• Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks in assigned areas correctly and accurately.
• Professionally serve food and beverages butler-style, tableside, and from buffets.
• Monitor tables, buffets, and breaks to keep them clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Assist other members of the banquet team to deliver a phenomenal event that exceeds guest expectations.
• Be an ambassador of the hotel by maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality while always exhibiting professionalism and friendliness.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; accurately answer any guest questions.
• Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Sheraton Erie

Summary:

This is a highly visible and key role responsible for the successful set-up, service, and tear down of all Banquet events to include coffeebreaks, 3-meal dining, and bar operations. This person is responsible for assisting the Event Managers in the successful ownership-and operational execution of Banquet Functions and duties. Must be available weekends!
