Best Western Royal Plaza in Marlborough, MA is seeking a prep cook to prepare ingredients and support the head chef during events. You will organize items, maintain a clean workstation, and ensure safety standards are met.

You will follow recipes, assist with banquet service, and help select quality ingredients while upholding sanitation and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Formación

• Food safety knowledge and a valid food handler’s card.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• At least one year of food preparation experience.
• Storage techniques to prevent waste and spoilage.
• Positive attitude and teamwork to meet guest needs.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare ingredients and ensure readiness for cooking during banquets.
• Assist the head chef by following instructions and contributing to the event's success.
• Organize and label food items, maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Familiarize yourself with kitchen equipment such as broilers, steamers, grills, and fryers.
• Taste and evaluate foods before serving to ensure quality standards.
• Select ideal food items for preparation based on appearance and quality.
• Follow established recipes and menu plans to prepare items.
