Job summary

Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is seeking a Catering & Banquets Assistant Manager to oversee the banquet operations and lead a diverse team of hourly staff. You will manage a multi-classification workforce and ensure events run smoothly, on time, and to the highest guest service standards.

The role requires five years of progressive catering/banquet experience, strong leadership, and mastery of MS Office. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 21+ years old.
• Minimum five years in Catering & Banquet operations.
• Experience leading large teams in bargaining or non-bargaining env.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to sell ideas at all levels.
• Strong organization, detail-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Billing and processing payments for events in a timely manner.
• Ensure events are executed on time and meet guest expectations.
• Maintain exceptional customer service at every interaction.
• Oversee hourly team members and scheduling for banquet operations.
• Provide daily briefings to Banquet Servers and Bartenders.
• Oversight of safety, sanitation, and policies across F&B spaces.
