We are seeking a Banquet Manager for our downtown Milwaukee Iron Horse Hotel to lead our banquets department. We offer:

Responsibilities include:

• Hiring, training, and supervising banquet staff to ensure successful events and repeat business.
• Overseeing setup of function rooms, ensuring cleanliness, proper inventory, and adherence to specifications.
• Communicating effectively during events with staff and guests to ensure quality service and compliance with safety regulations.
• Supervising cleanup and proper storage of equipment.
• Processing billing and payroll for events.
• Managing staff attendance, reassigning servers as needed to maintain service quality.
• Providing clear directions to staff verbally and in writing.

Ideal candidate qualities:

• Self-motivated with a professional demeanor.
• Team player willing to assist colleagues.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manager food handler and alcohol awareness certifications or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
