We are seeking a talented Banquet Manager to lead our banquet department at the iconic downtown Milwaukee Iron Horse Hotel. We offer:

Responsibilities include:

• Hiring, training, and supervising banquet staff to ensure successful events and repeat business
• Supervising setup of function rooms, including linens, silverware, china, and glassware as per event specifications
• Communicating effectively with kitchen, service, beverage, and other staff during events to ensure quality service and compliance with safety standards
• Overseeing clean-up and proper storage of equipment after events
• Managing billing and payroll related to banquet functions
• Monitoring staff attendance, adjusting staffing as needed for quality service
• Providing clear instructions to staff both verbally and in writing

Ideal candidate:

• Self-motivated with a professional demeanor
• Team player willing to assist colleagues
• Knowledgeable in food and beverage service, guest relations, and etiquette
• Familiar with health and safety regulations
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Manager food handler and alcohol awareness certifications or willing to obtain within 30 days
