Job summary

The Hanover Inn, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks a highly motivated Banquet Captain to lead set-up, service and tear-down for high-volume events at our Hanover property. You will coordinate room set-up, supervise hourly staff, and ensure guest satisfaction while maximizing revenues.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of food-service experience in 4- or 5-star venues, strong knowledge of wine and beverages, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service experience, preferably banquet service.
• Experience in a 4-star, 5-star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up for functions including draping tables and centerpieces.
• Service to include picking up food, carrying trays to function location, serving, and clearing tables.
• Break down to include bussing tables, storing linens and centerpieces, vacuuming.
• Clean back hall and organize storerooms; set up for breaks with coffee, tea, snacks, beverages.
• Assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs; stock workstations.
