Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group in North Bethesda, MD is seeking an attentive buffet attendant to set up, maintain, and breakdown buffets for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, ensuring all foods are properly served and guests are assisted.

You will read BEOs, set tables correctly, keep stations neat, and work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. The role offers growth opportunities and on-site benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant operations.
• Experience working in food service and handling diverse guest needs.
• Ability to stay organized and communicate clearly under pressure.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read BEO and complete set-up accurately.
• Set tables in assigned area correctly and uniformly.
• Maintain and clean a workstation while serving guests.
• Work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Assist guests with service and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Break down buffets and related equipment at shift end.
• Greet guests and ensure proper dining service per policies.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and organized.
• Communicate needs to Banquet Captain and/or Manager.
