Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work and educational experience.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Banquet Cook in a high-volume culinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Events team to plan and develop banquet menus.
  • Ensure menus match client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event themes.
  • Supervise and participate in preparation and cooking of banquet dishes per recipes and quality standards.
  • Monitor presentation and ensure high standards of taste and visual appeal.
  • Lead and motivate the banquet kitchen team to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to kitchen staff for efficiency.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
  • Address issues promptly to maintain top quality.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during events and coordinate between stations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and keep kitchen organized and safe.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations and health standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Collaborate with the Events team to plan and develop creative and diverse banquet menus.
  • Ensure that menus align with client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event themes.
  • Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of banquet dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Monitor food presentation and ensure that all dishes meet the highest standards of taste and visual appeal.
  • Lead and motivate the banquet kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to kitchen staff to maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain the highest standards of food quality.
  • Oversee kitchen operations during banquet events, ensuring smooth coordination between various kitchen stations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a well-organized and clean kitchen environment.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work and educational experience.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Banquet Cook or similar role in a high-volume culinary environment.
  • WA Food Workers Card required.
  • All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to stand for entire shift.

Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour + tip share
