Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and service-minded individual to join our luxury Banquet team as a Banquet Houseperson / Set-Up. This role involves various responsibilities while providing the highest level of service.

1. Set up meeting rooms according to banquet event order forms to ensure setups meet and exceed guest expectations.
2. Lift, move, and set up bulky materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage to meeting rooms using proper equipment safely.
3. Break down meeting rooms and return banquet items to storage in a neat and organized manner.
4. Maintain a cleaning schedule for all meeting rooms to ensure they are presentable at all times.
5. Interact with guests, respond to requests, and assist with information about other hotel areas.
6. Handle guest complaints and communicate with management to ensure timely service recovery where possible.
7. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
8. Perform other duties as requested by Banquet & Sales management.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet setup or customer service experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
• A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment alongside a diverse team.
• Understanding of hotel banquet operations or food and beverage departments.
• Strong professional engagement skills with guests and colleagues, maintaining a polished appearance and poised demeanor.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• A desire to learn and grow in a professional, fun, and chic environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
