Sheraton Suites Galleria, Atlanta is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to support our events team in delivering seamless, high-quality service for meetings and weddings in a newly renovated, vibrant setting.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down banquet spaces, maintaining cleanliness, assisting servers and culinary staff, handling waste, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. A focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet, stewarding, hospitality or related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Ability to follow event diagrams and procedures.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, break down, and reset banquet rooms according to event orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet spaces, kitchens, storage areas, and corridors.
• Clean and store banquet equipment properly (tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware).
• Assist banquet servers and culinary team as needed during events.
• Handle trash, recyclables, and food waste per guidelines.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and use cleaning chemicals correctly.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and collaborate with the events team.
• Support a positive guest experience through efficiency and attention to detail.

We’re seeking a Banquet Houseperson to support our banquet and events team in delivering seamless, high-quality service in a newly renovated and vibrant setting. Your behind-the-scenes efforts will play a key role in the success of meetings, weddings, and special events.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, break down, and reset banquet rooms according to event orders and service standards
  
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet spaces, kitchens, storage areas, and service corridors
  
• Clean and properly store banquet equipment, including tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware
  
• Assist banquet servers and culinary team as needed before, during, and after events
  
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of trash, recyclables, and food waste
  
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals
  
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
  
• Maintain a professional appearance and work collaboratively with the events team
  
• Support a positive guest experience through efficiency, cleanliness, and attention to detail

Requirements

Requirements:

• Previous experience in banquets, stewarding, hospitality, or food & beverage preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
• Ability to follow instructions, event diagrams, and established procedures
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift, push, pull, and move banquet equipment
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling standards preferred
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience accepted
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
• Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications, if applicable
• Additional language skills a plus
• CPR and First Aid training preferred
