Marcus Hotels & Resorts seeks a Part Time Banquet Set-up team member at the Omaha Marriott Downtown. You will arrange banquet spaces per contracts, maintain rooms, and assist with guest service to ensure memorable events.

Role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth within Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets; work in a 24-hour operation with varied schedules.
• Assist in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock linen room and supplies; attend department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards; perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will be doing:

• Set up banquet spaces as per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets.
  Work reliably in a 24-hour operation, accommodating varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
• Aid in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock linen room and supplies, attending mandatory department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up as well as have basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times
• Previous hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.
