Job summary

The Box Elder Events Center in Box Elder, SD is seeking a Banquet Cook for the day shift. Join an exciting new venue with diverse events and flexible scheduling from on-call to full-time roles.

Responsibilities include stocking and setting up kitchen stations, preparing, plating and coordinating with servers to fulfill orders on time, while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years' experience as a Cook in a restaurant setting.
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• Team player in a fast-paced kitchen; ServeSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks.
• Plating prepared foods according to senior chef’s guidance.
• Working with servers to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and utensils and storing equipment after shifts.
• Ensuring kitchen hygiene meets food safety standards.
