Job summary

Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Server to assist with setup and service for assigned banquet events. Responsibilities include reading banquet event orders, delivering attentive service, and maintaining inventory and cleanliness for smooth operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and the ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to assist guests with professional, courteous service
• Ability to understand and convey information clearly
• Comfort with basic arithmetic and handling cash or payments

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming per brand standards.
• Comply with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Comply with certification requirements for Alcohol Awareness, Food handlers, Safety, etc.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
• Perform preparatory tasks and side work to ensure guests are served promptly and efficiently.
• Read Banquet Event Orders and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
• Serve guests according to hotel standards in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to guest problems and refer to management when necessary.
• Be familiar with hotel policies and safety rules.
• Maintain banquet store room in a neat and stocked condition for food service functions.
• Clear banquet space after functions and store and restock equipment and supplies.
• Attend meetings as required by management.
