Job summary

The Oregon Golf Club in West Linn, OR is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to support the Banquet Manager in delivering seamless banquet events. You will coordinate with catering, kitchen and facilities teams to ensure timely and accurate execution, while supervising servers, bartenders, and setup crews.

This role requires leadership, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events with attention to detail, flexible hours, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s in hospitality preferred.
• At least 2 years of banquet or event management experience, preferably in hotels or large venues.
• Strong knowledge of banquet operations, event planning and customer service principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with departments to deliver exceptional banquet service.
• Oversee event setup and manage staff during events.
• Address issues to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Prepare reports on event outcomes and staffing.
• Support Banquet Manager in training and scheduling.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards during functions.
