Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is seeking a Banquet Set-Up Associate to support banquet events across our venues in Houston. You will read event orders, set up rooms per guest specifications, and perform side work as assigned to ensure a seamless dining and meeting experience for guests.

Responsibilities include moving and arranging equipment, cleaning rooms, and coordinating with the Banquet Manager and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Ability to push/pull carts weighing 75–100 pounds.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
• Able to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach.
• Able to perform repetitive motions.
• Able to stand or walk for long periods; operate heavy equipment.
• Flexible schedule; AM/PM shifts; nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet rooms per guest specifications.
• Read banquet event orders and arrange room setup accordingly.
• Clean rooms and set up equipment and break stations.
• Handle and store hotel property properly; report damages.
• Coordinate with Banquet Manager and Supervisors for setups.
