Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a friendly banquet server in Columbus, OH. You will assist with setup, provide food and beverage service, and help ensure a smooth dining experience for guests at events.

The role requires physical stamina, a professional appearance, and the ability to work evenings and holidays when events are scheduled. Training and safety procedures are provided; opportunities for advancement exist within a dynamic hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Maintains sense of urgency on the service floor and creates a comfortable guest environment.
• Maintain back of house, front of house and side work duties for overall productivity.
• Follow Health and Safety practices at all times.
• Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of tables, linens, chairs for banquet events.
• Prepare items to be present on tables (salt/pepper, rolls, butter, dressings).
• Set decorations and centerpieces; light candles and table ambience.
• Provide food and beverage service, refill waters, bartend as certified.
• Maintain buffet and its items for guest self-service.
• Clear dishes and prep for dishwashers.
• Clear remaining items at close of event and return to storage.
• Be knowledgeable about the menu and answer guest questions.
