MSU Residential and Hospitality Services (Kellogg Center) is seeking a Cook for the Banquet/Event crew. Starting wage is $23.84/hr and the schedule is 40 hours per week with a nine-month contract and potential renewal based on needs.

You'll prepare ingredients, operate grills/ovens, follow recipes, and ensure timely, high-quality dishes for conferences and catering. Adherence to food safety, hygiene, and teamwork are required to succeed in this role.

Qualificações

• Graduation from high school or equivalent required.
• Expert knowledge of cooking methods, processes and techniques.
• Two years experience at Cook Range/Kellogg Center level or equivalent.
• Willingness to work a flexible shift.
• Hygiene standards consistent with sanitation rules.
• Occasional lifting 26 to 75 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing ingredients, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring spices.
• Operating grills, ovens, and stovetops to cook dishes to standard.
• Following recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
• Ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards and served on time.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and temperature.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
• Assisting with cleaning duties and maintaining surfaces and equipment.
