Job summary

Wedgewood Weddings in Novato, CA is seeking a Part-Time Catering Cook to support high-volume wedding banquets. You will prep, produce, plate, and ensure food safety standards while executing events with a planned schedule.

This role requires weekend availability and offers flexible prep days, with opportunities to grow by learning ordering, inventory, food cost, and event execution alongside our chef.

Qualifications

• Solid food handling and preparation skills.
• Safety and sanitation knowledge you take seriously.
• Efficiency and composure under pressure.
• A team player with a "whatever it takes" attitude.
• Banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred — leadership experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support the chef in executing banquets according to Banquet Event Order details and Wedgewood standards.
• Prep, produce, and plate for full event execution.
• Keep a clean kitchen — cleaning as you work, closing procedures, and weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleans.
• Receive deliveries from approved suppliers, verifying freshness and quality.
• Stock and label all food to food safety protocols and FIFO procedures.
