Job summary

Wedgewood Weddings is seeking a Part-Time Banquet Cook in Escondido, CA to support high-volume wedding and events kitchens. You’ll work with a prepared banquet plan, prep, cook, and plate for events, while keeping safety and sanitation top of mind.

This hourly role requires weekend availability and the ability to thrive under pressure in a catering setting, not a restaurant line. Growth opportunities exist as you learn inventory, food cost, and event execution alongside our chef.

Qualifications

• Banquet/catering experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Solid food handling and preparation skills.
• Safety and sanitation knowledge taken seriously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the chef in executing banquets according to Banquet Event Order details and Wedgewood standards
• Prep, produce, and plate for full event execution
• Keep a clean kitchen — cleaning as you work, closing procedures, and weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleans
• Receive deliveries from approved suppliers, verifying freshness and quality
• Stock and label all food to food safety protocols and FIFO procedures
