Job summary

Omni Orlando at ChampionsGate is seeking a Banquet Cook to uphold high quality standards for plated and buffet banquet service. You will prepare items following standardized recipes, maintain sanitation, and ensure stations are ready before service while producing both buffet and plated dishes.

Requires experience in high-volume hotel banquet operations, batch cooking, strong math skills, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume upscale hotel banquet operations.
• Familiar with batch and quantity cooking.
• Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
• Basic math skills needed to understand and implement recipes and measurements.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a 4-diamond level of service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high food quality at all times.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
• Insure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
• Inspect all food products for quality when doing production.
• Follow all storage procedures when taking food out of walk-in and when returning food to walk-in.
• Prepare all items according to standardized recipes or specifications to ensure consistency.
• Produce a mixture of buffet and plated style items.
• Maintain/check cooking times and temperatures.
• Prepare items on BEOs or cover sheets.
• Keep walk-in, prep area and equipment up to Health Department standards.
