Job summary

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in hotel, country club, or fine dining, with a Food Handler Certification and strong English communication. Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Texas rules).
• 2–3 years of experience in hotel, country club or fine dining.
• Food Handler Certification within 60 days of hire (Texas Food Establishment Rules).
• Safe handling of knives, kitchen tools and hot equipment per hotel safety protocols.
• POS systems knowledge (Toast) to process guest orders/payments.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and English communication skills (written/spoken); Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of dishes per recipes and standards.
• Ensure food prep meets high standards for taste, appearance, and timing.
• Adjust recipes/menus based on guest preferences, dietary needs, and seasonal ingredients.
• Accommodate special requests with professionalism and flexibility.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation before, during, and after service.
• Follow all food safety/sanitation policies and health regulations.
